Sad girl

Removal can be very emotional experience. It is possible that you will be feeling all sorts of emotions, from sadness to excitement. It is important to understand that your emotions have nothing to do with the success of removal. Humans are prone to emotional changes so it is natural to feel different emotions at different levels. Removal is about to happen, so the sooner you accept that, the better. Once you do, you are open to new opportunities and all the benefits removal might bring about.

As far as emotions are concerned, you are stressed, you feel like you are losing something, you are excited about new place, new life, etc. Check out common emotions people experienced when they decide to move.

Loss

Removal can make you feel like you are losing something or somebody. Your home is a great part of you where you experienced various feelings, happy or sad. It is the place where you shared memorable feelings with your partner, your kids, pets… You may also feel loss at your community, your local stores, parks and other small things that were part of your life. You should face all these losses and avoid bottling it up inside. Loss is always accompanied with sadness, so if you feel depressed it is because you are not focused on the right things. Think positively and try to spend as much time with your loved ones as possible.

Concern

When people say that removal is one of the most important turning points in their life, believe them. They say, the bigger the event the greater the stress. You might feel concerned about whether the packing and moving belongings will go as planned, whether you will fit in, how your life will look like without your friends, etc. It is normal to be concerned during these stressful events. You can, however, feel less concerned if you get your act together and start planning and preparing.

Fear

If you feel afraid, that is because you do not know what is waiting for you after removal. Unknown is something that scares people in general. So replacing your old life with a life you do not know normally causes fear. But sometimes the unknown might surprise you and all you need to do is to make the most of everything the new brings.

Excitement

The feeling of excitement is in common for most people who are moving. They are excited about new life, new job, new opportunities, etc. If they are moving to a bigger city, they are excited because they will now be able to see sights, visit places they only dreamed before.

It is said that, after death and divorce, removal is the worst life experience for some people. It is perhaps due so many mixed feelings an individual experiences. Remember, it is natural to be emotional and cry and smile at the same time. What really matters is that you realize it will be over soon and that you have right attitude. The rest will follow.
